Dementia & Alzheimer’s
The HyLife Oral Health Alliance (HOHA) specializes in oral care for those with Dementia and Alzheimer’s
The HyLife Oral Health Alliance (HOHA) specializes in oral care for those with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. In fact, nearly all of those we serve have been diagnosed with memory concerns. While this may seem a bit unusual, it is completely understandable why our services have attracted those who work with this population. As a person travels down the road with a diagnosis of dementia, oral care often times becomes difficult for others to accomplish for them and eventually can be a forgotten task. This can lead to severe dental issues over time.
Our Oral Care Specialists have years, in some cases even decades, of working in people’s mouths. This experience, coupled with specialized oral care products, compassion and training specific to providing oral care to those stricken with dementia, our team members are the best equipped to assist in enhancing the oral health of memory care clients.
Here is what some of our
Client’s families are saying:
“HyLife so helped my Mom! Without your services, not only would she have had to deal with Alzheimer’s, she would have had dental health issues added as well. You are a great organization. Thank you for all you do!”
“Angie Stone, of the HyLife Oral Health Alliance, saw my husband in a memory care unit once a week for just over three years. I cannot begin to tell you what a blessing she and her services have been. She has always been compassionate, respectful and she developed a great relationship with my husband, the care team and myself. Not only did she keep my husband’s mouth healthy, she was able to coordinate dental care when he broke teeth. I am not sure the care team at the facility would have even realized some of his teeth needed attention, because they aren’t able to provide the kind of oral care attention my husband required. My husband and I have always taken our dental health seriously and are so glad we had Angie on our team of caregivers and ensuring my husband’s oral health remained in check. That gave me one less thing to worry about as his Alzheimer’s progressed.”
“Your services are a critical component of care for my father as his ability to care for himself declines due to his Alzheimer’s. We truly appreciate all the insight you offer. We are blessed to have caring people like you!”
